I met some guys from Soulland during Paris fashion week more than a year ago, and since then, they’ve really done well for themselves. I really enjoyed this video showcasing their Adler Fefora. It’s nice to see how things are made from start to finish, by hand. This was pretty therapeutic to watch. I’m glad there are still old schooler out there. Keep on!
I came across this kid (he really looks like a kid) while doing my morning Interweb reads, I love that he looks so unassuming. And that people are referring to him as “McLovin” on YouTube!
Dope beats out of Brooklyn, with a hint of Daedelus. Bedroom production at its best! Keep yer eyes out for cloud. Listen more here.
I heard this in a mix recently–and had to look it up when I heard this part:
“Freeze, somebody bring me back some money please
Fuck a throwback jersey
Cause we on to the next one
And fuck that auto-tune
Cause we ooooon”
I’m secretly hoping that he was aiming this at Kayne West. However, last time I checked, they were still buddies… Oh well.
This video is pretty slick. I really like the darkness of it. I wish Jay-Z would tell me just one of the million ways to get on that money…
(Check the Youtube site for the comments–they’re pretty hilarious. Apparently this video is laced with “Illuminati” signs and is completely Satanic.)
“Poor folk need help, they call it welfare, but rich folk need it then they call it a bail-out. They make me wanna yell out, but I just chill because the love for my family is priceless. Long as I got them we will be able to fight this, ‘cus n*gger I’m black, I was born a financial crisis, shit…”
I’m back to America’s hat from a quicky in New York City. I love that city with all my heart. I love that it’s a no bullshit city. People see right through it, and they WILL call you on it, unlike other places I’ve lived in…
The official video for Aloe Blacc’s “I Need A Dollar” finally dropped earlier this week on Stonesthrow. Check it!
This week will mark the start of a whirlwind trip to North America. Toronto, NYC, Vancouver, and finally to see my parents in Courtenay, BC. But THIS, has been stuck in my head for the past few days. Last time I was in New York was September 2007, it’s been a while. I hope it remembers me.
On top of that. I started watching HBO’s How to Make It In America last week (thanks, C!). The intro is just so damn catchy!
