Recently I was involved in a project with Nike’s relaunch of their classic Air Max 1’s. The shoe officially launches tomorrow in Berlin - can be found exclusive at Overkill and Wood Wood. I took a part in their promotional video - which I have yet to see. I was also asked to illustrate a map of Berlin for the movie, which will also be on display in the Nike Spirit Room in Gipstrasse 7, in Berlin. The ‘exhibit’ will be on from July 1st-5th, from 11AM-6PM or by appointment.
I will paint one of the walls later today. Will post pictures later!
Check it out if you’re in Berlin!
This is the map…

(That’s me in the flyer…)
I love bikes and movies and cute things. This has all of the above!
I’ve been watching you ever since you came into the room.
Now in the corner of my eyes, I see you walking away.
Oh no. I thought. Oh no, he’s leaving! What should I do.
I turn my head towards the direction you’re moving with a side glance.
I look up.
I see you turn around and our eyes meet.
I panic inside.
Shear panic and jitters.
You blink and smile.
I blink and smile.
I look at my friends, mid conversation.
I run after you.
Nice to meet you.
Finally.
I found some old negatives from 2005 and finally took the time to scan some in. This roll of film is actually from a very important time of my life - my last moments in Rotterdam, and first moments in Vancouver after my studies at Willem de Kooning. To this day I still see how I was influenced from this time–both personally and “professionally”(professional in quotations because I don’t know how professional I am as of right now… Ha!) I was more than blessed to have spent 5 months in The Netherlands studying design, and soak in the Dutch mentality, but also just experience a culture where I was actually a “norm” and what I did was not considered outrageous or rebellious… Returning to Vancouver was very difficult for me for reason I will not delve into. But without that experience, I will not be sitting here today doing what I do and loving what I do.
Blessings come in strange ways.
The double exposure is accidental, but I like how it adds even more meaning to the set… Hope you enjoy them.

This is one of the best animated videos I’ve seen in a long time… The history of Asics.
Unexpectedly I stumble upon thee,
a surreal dream I thought I’d never see.
Like eagle’s talons it dug so deep,
into my bleeding heart so vividly.
It opened a floodgate beyond my control,
but through the pain it was only love that flow.
A steady stream through my open heart,
clash into this dream of yours and I take part.
I open my sails and ride down the stream,
with a glowing heart into this dream,

I’m happy to announce that I am a part of the features of the new issue of IdN - Illustration Special that has just been released this week! IdN is a magazine that I’ve been reading since I was in school so this is a great pleasure to me to be published as well. I haven’t read the interview yet, but I hope I don’t sound like too much of a dork… Please check it out if you wish, for more information on the magazine, please visit IdN World!

In other news - I’ve also add a few new projects to my site! Please feel free to take a gander and let me know what you think!
